Orlando de Jesús Salazar-Gallego

The Criminal Court of Riosucio Judicial Circuit is conducting an investigation into the murder of Orlando de Jesús Salazar-Gallego, which took place in Supía, department of Caldas, on July 18, 1992. A verdict of guilty was returned for Héctor Fabio Rosero-Bermúdez, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison, and Francisco Bernney-Tapasco sentenced to 26 months in prison.

Jorge Ignacio Boada-Palencia 

The Human Rights Unit of the Prosecutor General's Office is carrying out an investigation into the murder of Jorge Ignacio Boada-Palencia, killed in Bogotá on April 17, 1998. A trial is now under way. An indictment was issued against Hugo Antonio Toro-Restrepo, alias 'Comandante Bochica', the supreme leader of the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán (JEGA) guerrilla organization, who publicly accepted responsibility. Toro Restrepo is being tried in absentia. 

Disappearance of Álvaro José Taborda-Álvarez 

An investigation into the disappearance of Álvaro José Taborda-Álvarez, which took place in Montería, Córdoba, on January 8, 1997, is being conducted by the Human Rights Unit of the Prosecutor General's Office. An indictment was handed up against alias 'Marcos Jara' as the actual perpetrator. His case is currently before the judge for a verdict, while a preliminary investigation continues in the case of other individuals involved.

Jorge Luis Ortega-García, Newsletter No. 3 

The Prosecutor General's Office linked two individuals to this case as suspected accomplices in the crime of aggravated homicide for terrorist ends, and ordered them to be arrested without bail. One of them is now in custody. The case was transferred to specialist judges of Bogotá. An investigation of another person has been launched, and an indictment was issued. A petition for the court to reconsider the decision of closing the investigation has been filed.

Wilson Borja, Newsletter No.14

Ten individuals have been linked to the case, four of whom have been ordered to be kept in preventive detention. A decision is pending about three individuals, and restraining measures were lifted in respect of three more. Arrest warrants were issued against another six persons.
